Our manufacturing company, Bluco Corporation (Naperville, IL) strives to deliver high quality products and services and we are looking for an individual to work as a part time Manufacturing Shop Associate as part of our Warehouse team. This position will work closely with the Warehouse Manager performing various tasks along with learning valuable skills.  We are flexible around student schedules and can provide training for all tasks.

Basic Tasks:

  • Assembly of steel parts
  • Laser marking many items including in-house custom parts and those manufactured from outside suppliers
  • Cleaning of equipment and machine parts for reconditioning purposes
  • Pack items for shipment to outside vendors
  • Stock new inventory into designated storage areas
  • Identify product quality issues when unpacking and packing shipments
  • Perform quarterly and annual physical counts of inventory
  • Move inventory around showroom and warehouse as needed
  • Build shipping crates or special sized pallets as needed
  • Light assembly and disassembly responsibilities
  • Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized

General Requirements:

  • Able to convert metric/inch
  • Able to troubleshoot with minimal instruction
  • Able to lift 50 pounds frequently
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Able to operate or willing to learn to operate a forklift, pallet jack and overhead crane
  • Keep workplace immaculate
  • Perform miscellaneous building maintenance tasks occasionally (i.e. water flowers, shovel front walk, clean outside windows, etc.)
  • Must be at least 16 years of age

Our manufacturing company, Bluco Corporation, strives to deliver high quality products and services and we seek a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team to help us achieve our goals. Bluco has been designing and supplying precision modular fixturing systems to the welding and fabricating industry for over 30 years. The CNC Machinist will primarily focus on making both prototype and small production jobs from start to finish using the latest CNC machine technology. We are currently hiring for the day shift – (4) 10 hour days, Tuesday – Friday, 7am – 5:30pm.  We offer competitive pay, with great benefits and a generous time off program.  With our continued growth, we are always looking for hard-working, professional Machinists to join our team.

  • Run CNC vertical/horizontal mill, lathe and Double Column to produce prototype and small production jobs to completion.
  • Work closely with leadership to implement process improvements
  • Assist in training other machinists in equipment operation when necessary
  • Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications
  • Setup cutting tools per the instructions
  • Setup and teardown precision machining fixturing
  • self-sufficiently operate 2 or more machines simultaneously

General Requirements:

  • Experience in operating CNC machining centers at high efficiency
  • Must be able to solve complex problems that arise while making challenging parts
  • Well-versed in the usage and care of precision measurement equipment
  • Ability to work with high tolerances
  • Ability to support a small group of machinists in a production environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to make CNC program changes without supervision
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation
  • Ability to read/interpret technical drawings

Other requirements include:

  • Minimum 5 years experience with CNC lathes, CNC horizontal milling and CNC vertical milling machines
  • Basic computer knowledge in Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Solidworks, and Mastercam a plus but not required
  • Able to troubleshoot with no instruction
  • Able to lift 50 pounds frequently
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Able to operate a forklift, pallet jack and overhead crane
