Bluco Corporation will introduce Bluco+Automation at FABTECH 2025 (Sept. 8–11, McCormick Place, Chicago). This focused initiative will eventually merge existing and future automation offerings under one cohesive identity, making it easier for Bluco customers to explore and adopt Industry 4.0 solutions.

Bluco will maintain its long-standing presence in the Welding Pavilion. However, visitors to FABTECH will also be invited to learn about Bluco+Automation and its offerings at a second booth in the Automation Pavilion: # B15063.

The Vision for Bluco+Automation

While the company will debut its revolutionary WeldSpace 4.0® Cobot in the new booth, Bluco’s Director of Sales, Brian Dodsworth, says there’s more to Bluco+Automation than the introduction of a new product. “WeldSpace 4.0 is just the beginning. Our ultimate mission is to help manufacturers achieve their industry 4.0 goals by removing the roadblocks,” says Dodsworth. “We believe that automation doesn’t have to take years of effort or require the manufacturer to figure it out alone.”

The company’s vision for this new path to automation meshes their 35+ years of modular and manufacturing expertise with flexible, scalable pathways to automation — including plug-and-play solutions like WeldSpace 4.0, hybrid systems, and fully integrated robotics.

The Bluco You Know, The Automation You Need

Regardless of which pathway is best suited for the challenges at hand, Bluco’s top priority remains clear. “Our goal is to deliver a cohesive experience to our customers,” says Dodsworth. “Effective solutions come from understanding the entire manufacturing process, not just isolated steps. That means one team has to own the whole conversation, whether it involves automation, modular fixturing, or both. It allows us to engineer holistically, avoid blind spots, and align every recommendation with the customer’s broader operational goals.”

That focus on the customer experience also inspired a final, meaningful change just before launch: the name. Originally planned as Bluco Automation, the initiative was renamed Bluco+Automation to better reflect the complete value it delivers. “We wanted to drive home the fact that this is the best of both worlds,” says Dodsworth. “It’s the Bluco team, company culture, and precision modular tooling that the industry has come to know and respect — plus the kind of automation the industry needs to stay competitive in the global marketplace.”
