Our heavy duty rollovers are a better option when the size or shape of the part you are trying to position won’t fit in our standard rollover fixtures. A number of standard configurations are available to choose from or our in-house engineering staff can innovate a unique modular fixturing solution. Length is never an issue as our floor rail system (which the steady rests pin to) comes in a variety of lengths and can be joined together for the longest of parts. Simple Welding Rollover
A welding rollover should be safe, rugged and easy to use. Our line of rollover fixture stands are made to accomplish all three. The part needing to be rolled over is safely trapped inside the center of the wheel using our standard modular components to hold just about any shape. The design of the wheel includes a hardened work surface with precision locating holes for a long life in harsh environments (and includes a lifetime warranty). Every rollover solution our engineers design is shipped fully assembled and ready to use.

Steady Rest for Welding
Used in conjunction with a powered head stock to rotate the part, our modular steady rest for welding is used to hold long, irregular shaped parts during the weld out process. The steady rest can be positioned anywhere along our rail system by rolling it to the desired location and then pinning it to the rails. The wheel of the steady rest is designed to be used with our entire line of modular tooling components giving the user an unlimited number of options to hold the part securely.

Dual Weld Rollover Fixtures
A pair of weld rollover fixtures are used to hold a long parts for manual welding or assembly. The wheels on each rollover are perfectly balanced for smooth operation. Parts between the two fixtures can be rotated 360° with minimal effort. Depending on the length of the part to be flipped over, each stand can be rolled closer together or further apart on the precision rails and then pinned in place. Additional floor rails and rollover fixtures can be added for extremely long parts.

Powered Rotating Positioners
Some weldments are just too big to manually rollover so our engineers will often recommend using our powered rotating positioners. One end includes a powered drive unit while the opposite end is a steady rest. Both positioners can be rolled along floor rails to accommodate different length parts. The precision holes in the rotating wheels are used to attach locating and clamping components from our standard line of modular fixturing for welding.

Large Weld Positioners
Flipping over large parts requires large weld positioners. We offer a variety of standard positioners from small to large depending on your application. We can also custom design a rollover fixture for your specific size or length part. Modular Steady Rest
Each modular steady rest can be easily adjusted on our precision rails system by simply releasing the locking pins and pushing the unit to the desired location. For shorter parts, the steady rests are moved closer together. Professional installation of the floor rails (performed by Bluco’s technicians) is essential for smooth operation of the positioners. Additional rails can be added in the future for longer distances between headstock and tailstock

Lift and Rotating Weld Fixture
Large weldments sometimes require both a lift and rotating weld fixture. Our engineers have extensive experience in designing fixturing between a head and tailstock to hold virtually any size or shape part. We will even design and build the special interface pieces that connect the fixture ends to any third party’s lift and rotate positioners. There are many factors to consider when trying to decide which type of rollover will best fit the application – our engineers will work with you to find the ideal solution so you’re not in this alone.
