Design Center

design
Modular fixturing for welding is often times compared to an Erector Set® or a box of lego’s which leads to a logical question – how does a customer know what they need? Over the last 25 years, we’ve taken the guesswork out of selecting the right mix of tooling components by providing full engineering support (free of charge) through our design center. Our staff of qualified engineers has an extensive background in fixture design, fabrication, welding and general manufacturing. Some of our engineers were actually users of our tooling and left their former employer to come work for Bluco because of their passion of the system and its unlimited uses. To work with our engineering team, send us your CAD models of your next workholding project or stop by when you’re in the Chicagoland area.

100% Commitment

www
Lifetime Warranty
All of our fixturing elements (tables, bolts, angles, clamps, etc.) are built to the highest of standards. In other words, they are made to last a lifetime. Bluco stands behind the quality of its fixturing system 100%. Our lifetime warranty backs this up by repairing or replacing any component that breaks under normal wear and tear conditions for as long as a customer owns their fixturing system.
2
Lifetime Exchange
Everything we sell includes a lifetime exchange guarantee. If for any reason our customers find they are not using a component, they may send it back to us and exchange it for something of equal value. We even allow customers to return used components to exchange for similarly valued components from our used inventory.
1
Buyback Program
Our fixturing system is designed to last a lifetime, but that isn’t always the case with our customer’s needs. Should circumstances change in your business model where you no longer need your tooling, we encourage you to contact us about our buyback program. Regardless of the age or condition of your equipment, there is always life left in your tooling.

Validation Center

Customers can bring their parts to Bluco’s 30,000 square foot facility to prove out fixture designs in our state of the art validation center. For those interested in modular machining fixtures, we can set up actual fixtures in either vertical or horizontal CNC’s to simulate manufacturing conditions on a customer’s part. Companies can also bring their weldments to our validation center to set up and weld parts. To schedule a visit to our facility, please contact our engineering department at 800-535-0135.

On-Site Training

To make the most of your new modular fixturing system, you’ll want to schedule an on-site fixture training visit after you take delivery. Training is included with all purchases at no additional charge. An application engineer will spend time going over all the general functionality of your new system, then assist you in designing and building fixtures for your part(s). We have been training customers for nearly 25 years. With each training session, we not only pass on valuable knowledge on how to maximize the use of the tooling, but we also listen and pick up new techniques for future applications.

Low Cost Rental

Our popular fixture rental program is an easy way for companies to get started with a complete modular fixturing system immediately without the hassles of budget approvals or capital outlay. Companies who aren’t sure if rentals are for them should take a closer look at the benefits:
  • Try before you buy (no risk evaluation)
  • Rent-to-own options included with each rental
  • No long term commitments – monthly rental options available
  • Job shop work (don’t know how long you’ll need the tooling for)
  • Temporary solutions for a surge in orders that your dedicated fixtures can’t support
  • Short term fixturing solution until your dedicated fixtures are ready

Large Inventory

After our engineers tailor a fixturing solution for a specific application, customers are often surprised we can ship the order the same day. We stock a large inventory of new tables and components to meet the demands of our customers’ ever-changing needs. In the majority of cases, we are able to ship orders complete within 24 hours of receiving a purchase order. In some instances, customers do require a special order item that has to be custom made (i.e. hybrid tooling). Depending on the level of detail, these parts can often be turned around in a matter of days.

Certified Used

certified-reconditioned
Regardless of the age of the equipment, we can recondition everything. By inspecting, cleaning, calibrating and hardening, we can bring old systems back to life — including old tables, locators, clamps and bolts. Our reconditioning program is available for existing customers who wish to take advantage of the hardening features we offer for new equipment. Existing customers who want to take advantage of the hardening features we offer on all new equipment can benefit from our reconditioning program. Even companies who have picked up a system at an auction can get their Bluco tooling brought up to current standards for another lifetime of use.

CAD Database

We develop and maintain a comprehensive CAD library of all our modular components, which is provided free of charge to our customers. Formats available include:

  • SolidWorks
  • IGES
  • STEP

Many of our customers use this database in their manufacturing process. Access to the library will ensure accuracy and a faster setup. Bluco Application Engineers are available to conduct information sharing sessions on designing fixtures using this library.
